It's Sr Picture time of year! {Spokane Senior Photographer}

Have you ever laid down under a basketball hoop while an incredibly tall teenager dunks the ball repeatedly over the top of you?

I have.

And he didn't even step on me or hit me with the ball. *phew*

Then we wandered around for a while and shot some more traditional Sr pics.

He even humored me and sat on this nasty couch that was on the side of the road destined for the dump.

He was also my virgin shoot on my new camera. Canon 5d mark ii, baby!

Thanks, Justin! It was fun!

Winner Winner, Chicken dinner!

Ok, no chicken dinner....the winner just wins a photo shoot.

For the final project for my photo class, I had everyone just shoot for 2 weeks. Whatever they wanted. They uploaded the images to a flickr gallery and I and a couple of my photographer friends did the judging.

It was a hard choice, but we narrowed the choices down to 5 and then picked a winner from those.

In no particular order....

And the winner was....

Shannon!

This just goes to show that a camera does not a photographer make. Shannon was the only one in the class with a point and shoot and she did beautiful work all along. The lighting in this image is gorgeous and I love the mixture of the light with the dust. I love that it's unposed and I love the composition and the way she cropped it.

Yay Shannon! Congrats!

Guess where I went for my 10th anniversary?

Hawaii! Wanna see lots and lots of pictures? Of course you do! You can see them all in this gallery.

And here are a few of my favorites. (as an aside, if you're interested in owning any of these, just shoot me an email)

This was shot through the back end of a telescope. Idea courtesy of my brilliant husband.

We have our winners!!!

Thanks for playing, everyone! This was so fun! There ended up being 330 votes! The photo that received the most, with 85 votes was.....

#2-Darling Diva! WTG! You win a free shoot to use sometime this year!

And after compiling the votes (they were in 3 different posts and a few were emailed to me), removing the spam, and putting them in order based on the time stamp and then numbering them...I did the number generator on random.org and it gave me number 104.

Here's the screenshot.

And number 104 is.....heididodah!

Congrats to both of you! Shoot me an email and we'll work out the details!
